Preventive Oral Hygiene Instruction:

This includes proper brushing, flossing and eating habits, ideal fluoride levels and the use of BPA-Free pit and fissure sealants. We strive to provide a fun, educational environment where children learn about the importance of good dental hygiene.

 

Restorative Dentistry:

This includes children’s tooth-colored fillings and crowns (we don’t use silver fillings with mercury), prosthesis and treatment of nursing bottle decay.  Our doctors are committed to discussing all options before these procedures and answering all questions you may have. Dr. Hisaw will always invite you to sit next to your child during any restorative procedure.

 

Nitrous Oxide, Sedation
and Hospital Dentistry:

Our office has sedation options available for children, but only when necessary. Almost all of our kids are treated in the office without sedation. "Kindness" and "HD movies" are the the two "tools" we use to successfully treat nearly all of our patients in the office. Safely administered nitrous-oxide (also known as laughing-gas) or "happy-air" will occasionally  be recommended for our younger or more anxious patients.

 

Growth and Development & Braces:

As a pediatric dental specialist, Dr. Hisaw is an expert on the growth and development of children’s dentition, jaws and craniofacial structures.  Early growth and development evaluation may provide your child with a more positive experience should they need early-orthodontic treatment from Dr. Hisaw.
